Northeast GT Series Introduction
Real, tough and fair racing can be had without contact. We want this to be a no-contact series. Racing room + a tire width must be left, always. No Hail Marys, always respect your fellow competitors.
Our mission, beyond providing good clean racing, is to be as inclusive as possible to driver, car and team while maintaining the quality of said racing.
The endurance races will be 3 hours, with two required 3 minute pitstops each race. This allows up to three drivers with no disadvantage, but more are welcome. Open to licensed race drivers, those with previous endurance experience and NEGT race school graduates.
For 2026, medium length sprints will join the party. These will be around 30 minutes long with a qualifying session and two races per event day. Open to licensed race drivers, those with previous endurance experience and NEGT race school graduates.
Time trials, aka time attack is also joining the NEGT format for 2026. Multiple sessions per day, fastest lap per class wins. All intermediate and up drivers are welcome, run groups will be set by driver skill level and vehicle class.
Your car’s classification will be based on a formula using your car’s weight, OEM horsepower, torque and a cumulative modifier percentage resulting in a class and associated minimum weight. Our modifiers are based on vehicle age, drivetrain and suspension layouts, engine modifications, tire type and width, differential, transmission, suspension updates and aero devices. Purpose built and forced induction racecar classing will be verified and approved on a case by case basis to ensure parity.
Our ruleset is designed to not favor any particular tire, chassis, drivetrain layout, vehicle age or build formula. Any car built for any series, or no series at all has a fair chance to be competitive.
Northeast GT welcomes purpose built “GT style” and production based racecars of any age. Sports racers and prototype style cars will be reviewed case by case. Engine swaps are welcome.
Six events, five official, with two days of competition each, for a total of 10 points event days. A team or driver's best seven individual finishes count toward the championship, allowing for three drops.
This program offers a racing curriculum that spans the classroom, paddock/pit-lane, and on-track with the purpose of preparing drivers to compete in our series. Experienced track day drivers and new or old racers alike are welcome to participate.
Thursday or Friday practice will be available from MassTuning at each event for drivers and cars to get up to speed.
The planned entry fees per day are $299 for Time Attack, $399 for Sprint Racing and $499 for Endurance Racing. Pre-event practice with MassTuning varies per track, but is generally $299 and an additional $100 for the GT Race and Time Attack School. Discounts for double dipping will apply!
Family, friends and spectators are welcome! There are no extra fees for memberships, crew or spectators. NO MEMBERSHIPS OR GATE FEES!
